Essa foi uma das inúmeras peças que adquiri no boneyard durante a ReaperCon do ano passado, e o que a torna tão especial para mim é que ela está com defeito.
Se vocês notarem a aba do chapéu, verão que ela possui um buraco (algo que não existe na peça original) e foi exatamente esse detalhe que me chamou a atenção, afinal uma pirata com um chapéu esburacado me pareceu muito mais crível do que se ele estivesse como saido de uma loja.
O grande desafio aqui foi aplicar as diferentes técnicas aprendidas durante a ReaperCon (tive que reaprender muita coisa do zero) e apesar de ainda haver espaço para muitas melhorias, fiquei bem satisfeito com o resultado.
That was one of the many pieces that I acquired in the boneyard during last year's ReaperCon. What makes it so special for me is that it is defective.
If you notice his hat brim, you will notice that it has a hole (something that does not exist in the original miniature) and it was precisely this detail that caught my attention, after all, a pirate hat with a hole seemed much more believable than one as new as a bought in a store.
The challenge here was to apply the various techniques learned during ReaperCon (I had to relearn a lot of it from scratch) and although there is still room for many improvements, I was very pleased with the result.
