My name is Cláudio Villa, born in 1979, and a Role Playing Games lover since 1992
Currently I am trying a career as a fantasy writer in Brazil since I published my first novel in 2007 called Pelo Sangue e Pela Fé (For the Blood and the Faith). I also published a series of short stories in some anthologies over the years.
I started painting miniatures after a trip to Spain in 1996. There I went to a Games Workshop store and saw a seller painting a little goblin soldier. Immediately I fell in love for the hobby, bought a army box, some paints and brushes and then started painting.
Since that day, I´ve been developing my skills, applying new techniques and looking for even bigger challenges.
The miniatures showed here are just a small part of my collection, but they represent pretty well the different stages of my painting technic over the years. For now on, I intend to upload images of my recent works as soon as they get ready.
I also got a website were I publish my works as a fantasy author (in Portuguese) at www.mundosdemirr.com

Meu nome é Cláudio Villa, nascido em 1979, e amante dos Role Playing Games desde 1992.
Atualmente busco uma carreira como escritor de literatura fantástica, tendo publicado meu primeiro romance em 2007 chamado "Pelo Sangue e Pela Fé" além de diversos contos em coletâneas desde então.
Comecei a pintar miniaturas, por acaso, após uma viagem a Espanha em 1996. Lá entrei em uma loja da Games Workshop e após ver um dos atendentes pintando um goblin, me encantei com o hobby. Ali comprei um box de do jogo Warhammer, algumas tintas e pincéis e comecei a pintar.
Desde então venho desenvolvendo e melhorando minhas habilidades, aplicando novas técnicas e buscando cada dia desafios maiores.
As peças vistas aqui não são em absoluto toda minha coleção, mas representam bem a evolução na técnica de pintura ao longo dos anos. A partir de agora irei postar as peças mais recentes de meu trabalho.

Above the poster announcing ReaperCon 2012, miniature painters convention who occurs in next May. For those who do not know Reaper, is one of the best miniature studios in USA. Practically, all the last miniatures I painted come from there.
Now, after one year waiting I will be able to attend the convention and have classes with some of the best miniature painters available. I hardly can express how anxious I am for this four days. I hope I can bring with me new techniques so I can improve even more my work.

For now on I will make all my Deviants updates in bought english and portuguese. I take this decision since most of my watcher do not speak portuguese. I will try to translate the descriptions of the miniature already here, but this can take a while.
A partir de agora eu irei postar minhas atualizações aqui tanto em português quando em inglês. Tomei essa decisão uma vez que a maioria das pessoas que acompanha meu trabalho não fala português. Tentarei aos pocuso traduzir a descrição das peças anteriormente cadastradas, mas isso pode levar algum tempo.
